All before 9am

I was up at 4:13am. I'm not great at sleeping.

Already today:

Made more coconut scrub and shaved my legs. I'm soft now.

Made muffins.

Made a nest (see picture above).

Made tea (I'm not getting sick!!!!).

Wrote three blog posts. All queued up and coming your way. Sorry for slacking.

Hung some laundry outside to dry.

Took the dog outside. I had wet hair and he really takes his time. Brrr.

Cleaned up some puke (2 year old with post-nasal drip and an intense gag reflex).

Spoke with an unnamed child about installing a filter between her thoughts and her words.

Soothed another unnamed child through a sudden emotional morning meltdown. (Her PE clothes didn't get washed.)

Packed lunches, fried eggs, toasted bread.

Helped bathe, braid, dress, and pack backpacks.

Googled "my dog ate a starfish". Fletcher has a tummy ache.

Considered going to the gym for cycling class. (That's as far as I got)

Considered what I should make for dinner. (That's as far as I got)

Researched a vacation rental in Seabrook. I think we should go!

Drooled over these shoes and this view.

....................

Happy day everyone. One foot in front of the other.

Yesterday I ventured in to the city.

I went with these two beauties-- and there was blue sky!

We ate thai food.

We did a little shopping.

We ate fresh mint ice-cream outside (from Eat local).

Oh, and then we had a meeting.

{Pssst! That's Penny Simkin. Author. Doula. Childbirth educator. (With 45 years of experience!!!!) Teacher at Seattle Midwifery. Simply put- she's one of my heroes. What a kind soul she is. I'm doing some work on reformatting my childbirth classes and her expertise is vast and valuable. For 90 minutes she graciously answered my questions and encouraged me. I was a little star-struck sitting there in her living room!}

And then we went home.

Not bad for a Monday!
